![]() |
| Purpose: To help Scouts discuss a topic and the relative importance of different aspects of the topic. Development Stage: • Developing Awareness • Measuring change Instructions: • The leader writes words on 10 cards related to the topic under discussion or uses ideas generated by the Scouts in a brainstorm e.g. • What are the causes of conflict in the world today? • What are the reasons that young people join gangs? • The Scouts are given the cards and asked to rank them in a diamond shape according to the given criteria e.g. in the examples above, the Scouts could be asked to rank the first as the most common conflicts in the world, or the most destructive etc. and the second as the most influential. • The results are then shared and the rankings discussed. Equipment Needed: Cards with information on a given topic. |
