| Purpose: To provide information on a topic and help the Scouts to make decisions and express their views. Development Stage: • Identifying the problems • Developing Awareness • Measuring change Instructions: • A Leader writes statements which are either ‘true or false’ or have the answer ‘yes or no’. • Participants sit in a circle. • Leader reads out the statements one at a time. • Everyone who thinks the answer is true or yes then stands up. • Leaders might ask Scouts who have chosen this answer why they have chosen their answer. • Everyone who thinks the answer is false or no then stands up. • Leaders might ask Scouts who have chosen this answer why they have chosen their answer. • Leader then says the answer and explains the reasons. Alternatives: 'True' and 'False' cards can put some distance from each other and the Scouts can move to the card which they think has the correct answer. Equipment Needed: Paper and pens |
