Circle Game


Purpose: To provide information on a topic and help the Scouts to make decisions and express their views.


Development Stage:
• Identifying the problems
• Developing Awareness
• Measuring change


Instructions:
• A Leader writes statements which are either ‘true or false’ or have the answer ‘yes or no’.
• Participants sit in a circle.
• Leader reads out the statements one at a time.
• Everyone who thinks the answer is true or yes then stands up.
• Leaders might ask Scouts who have chosen this answer why they have chosen their answer.
• Everyone who thinks the answer is false or no then stands up.
• Leaders might ask Scouts who have chosen this answer why they have chosen their answer.
• Leader then says the answer and explains the reasons.


Alternatives: 'True' and 'False' cards can put some distance from each other and the Scouts can move to the card which they think has the correct answer.


Equipment Needed: Paper and pens
